Gender equality, inclusion and social sustainability in the workplace

Gender equality, inclusion and social sustainability in the workplace are not issues that resolve themselves. They require knowledge, commitment and the right tools to create real and lasting change. I’m Viktoria Saxby, and I work, among other roles, as a gender equality expert with organisations in Sweden and internationally to build more equal, inclusive and socially sustainable workplaces.

With clients such as the UN, the World Bank, Sida, the Swedish Armed Forces and leading companies within finance, tech and life science, I bring the breadth of experience needed to meet your specific challenges.

Gender mainstreaming that delivers measurable impact

Gender mainstreaming is about building equality into every part of the organisation’s work: from strategies and policies to everyday routines and decision-making processes. I help organisations move from ambition to action through keynotes, training, workshops, advisory and strategic support.

My method is built on understanding your specific circumstances and developing solutions that work in your particular organisation. Sometimes organisations need help with analyses, investigations and programme development. Sometimes it is about strategic-level advisory. Sometimes it is simply about equality or DEI work, but I always make sure the work goes beyond the box and creates real value. The result is gender mainstreaming that doesn’t just look good on paper but creates measurable impact in everyday life.

CLIENTS SAY

As an HR manager, I've worked with a wide variety of large companies that are pushing the D&I issue strongly - Viktoria's lecture and training on the topic are the best I have ever heard.

Gender equality consultant with international experience

As a gender equality consultant, I have worked across several continents and with organisations in vastly different sectors. I have carried out investigations, analyses, programme development and policies for UN agencies such as UNDP, UN Women and UNICEF. I have advised governments, embassies and public authorities. And I have worked with Swedish companies within finance, law, tech, industry, media and life science.

This international and cross-sectoral experience means I can identify solutions that others miss and help you avoid common pitfalls. I understand that gender equality work looks very different depending on the sector, country and organisational culture. Sometimes it is about building up structures from scratch, sometimes about refining and deepening the work that is already in motion. In both cases, my approach is solution-focused, research-based and fully adapted to your reality.

Gender equality speaker for organisations looking to move forward

As a speaker on gender equality for more than 30 years, I combine research-based knowledge with real-world examples. My gender equality keynote always focuses on the benefits of inclusion for everyone, not on pointing out shortcomings or creating guilt.

Gender equality, diversity and inclusion are not zero-sum games, they are about making sure everyone’s talents are put to use and that everyone can be themselves at work. From the Police and municipalities to tech companies and international organisations such as the UN and the World Bank, I am hired because I deliver keynotes that both inspire and provide practical tools for how to actually do it.

Inclusion is win/win. This is why;

The success of my blockbuster series Bridgerton has proved the economic sense of prioritizing diversity on screen.
The cast has been lau
ded for its inclusion, with color-conscious casting rather than color-blind. 82 million people watched the series in the first month.

Inclusion and social sustainability as a competitive advantage

Organisations that actively work with gender equality, inclusion and social sustainability achieve stronger leadership, better collaboration and greater psychological safety. Employees feel better, sick leave decreases and the organisation becomes more attractive as an employer. Innovation capacity and profitability grow, along with the ability to reach new customers and markets.

At the same time, the risks of crises, PR problems and legal consequences go down. I help you turn inclusion into a strategic competitive advantage that benefits the whole organisation, both internally and externally. The brand is strengthened when the outside world sees that you take these issues seriously, and employees feel pride in belonging to an organisation that makes a real difference.

My approach as a gender equality expert

I work in a solution-focused and practical way. My keynotes and training are always interactive, engaging and tailored to the audience and sector. Participants leave with both knowledge and concrete tools they can start using the same day.

The topics I work with span leadership, organisational culture, work environment, psychological safety, communication, values-based work, risk management and sustainable organisations.

Whether you need a single keynote, a series of workshops, strategic advisory, in-depth interviews, investigations or a longer development programme, there is a solution tailored for you. Everything is offered both on-site and digitally.

I always adapt the format to your circumstances and preferences to make sure you get maximum impact from every intervention. Gender equality in the workplace is not just the right thing to do, it is smart for business, for the organisation and for every individual employee.
